About
Welcome to the Highland Park Residents open-forum blog. Here you can find and share information about what’s happening around the ‘hood we all know and love, Highland Park.
This blog is for the residents of Highland Park in the Northeast Los Angeles area and surrounding neighborhoods to talk about what is happening in their community. It is not a blog to post personal information and stories about yourself or your life, unless it specifically relates to bettering the Highland Park/Northeast Los Angeles community. No matter how cute your kids are or what amazing thing you are selling, this is not the place for that. Visit WordPress to find out more information on how to start your own blog if that is what you want to do. However, here are some of the ways you can contribute to the site:
- You know about an upcoming community event, let everyone know about it!
- Share the news if you hear anything about an interesting new business that is coming to the neighborhood, a co-op being launched, or a community park that is opening
- Document phone calls, emails, and discussions that you may have with local law enforcement or elected officials
- You know of a fun activity in the area, talk about it
- You’ve thought of a way to help support local businesses, let us know too
- Concerned about a neighborhood issue, share it
- Spread the word on anything that will help improve the unity of the Highland Park community
This blog is about bettering and empowering the community of Highland Park by creating one place for all of us to keep a record of everything that’s happening in our neighborhood as well as unifying us through activities and education. The ideas above are just a few of the items that this blog is for. The key is to share anything you feel will help unify and strengthen our community.
