From Officer Nina Preciado~LAPD Northeast Station:
We have a residential burglary problem in Highland Park. For the past
two weeks we’ve had houses burglarized and haven’t been able to catch
the suspect/s.
Please pass the word around to be on the lookout for any suspicious
activity and to call 911. These guys are hitting all over. The most
recent one was [...]
We totally missed July, so I’d like to get a clean up together for August. Anyone want to rally and get it on this weekend? I’m game! Let me know if you are too!
I would suggest Saturday AM. Meet 8a, leave 830a. Route TBD.
Good evening neighbors!
Howdy,
In looking online for people who are active in Highland Park I came across this blog. I recently started a small nonprofit, Recycled Resources for the Homeless, staffed entirely by volunteers [...]

I was wondering if anyone has updates on the shootings that have been going on this past week? I was going to call the NELA police station, but figured if someone else had reached out, I would not use up their resources.
In case you don’t know what I’m talking about, we had to separate shootings [...]
This Saturday, May 15th, is the Peace in the North East march. The starting location is different than last year, so keep that in mind. We didn’t make it to the end with the kids last year, but I hear that the end fiesta was pretty awesome. And it seems to be a slightly shorter [...]

If you have been affected by this or simply have a concern please come join [...]
If this is the future of Highland Park, I think we’re in good hands. For as many not so good things that I had heard about Franklin over the past years, I’ve seen nothing but good coming out of this school. Even the time when school lets out has seemed very different this year. Go [...]
